Hannah Heifetz's profile

The Little Prince. Book Illustrations. Editorial

“On the morning of his departure the little prince carefully cleaned out his active volcanoes, watered the flower for the last time and prepared to place her under the shelter of glass”

“The first asteroid was crammed and obstructed by the King’s magnificent ermine robe.”

“The fifth planet was the smallest of them all, there was just enough room for a street-lamp and a lamplighter”

“The little prince was beginning to be afraid he’d come to the wrong planet, when a coil of gold, the colour of the moonlight, flashed across the sand.”

“One never knows where to find humans”, said the flower to the prince. “The wind blows them away. They have no roots, and that makes their life very difficult.”

“You have hair the colour of gold,” said the fox, “the grain, which is also golden, will bring me back to the thought of you, and I shall love to listen to the wind in the wheat.”

“As the little prince dropped off to sleep, I took him in my arms and set out walking once more… It seemed to me I was carrying a very fragile treasure.”
